88 West Housing

Housing is available upon student request. Each apartment is designed to house 4 students; they are 4BR 4B apartments, where each student has a personal bathroom within their rooms. The housing cost is $700 per four-week session. In addition, there is a $100 security deposit on each bedroom (to be paid with your housing cost), which is fully refunded if your bedroom is left in decent shape and all keys and keycards are returned. These refund checks are mailed out on the 25th of the following month. This allows us time to reconcile any charges for damage to property or lost/stolen keys and keycards. There is a $50 penalty (deducted from your deposit) for keys or keycard lost during the course. More severe penalties will apply if keys/keycards are returned late, such as loss of entire security deposit.  The apartment complex clubhouse also has an outdoor swimming pool, 4 flat screen TV's, a pool table, an indoor basketball court, a workout gym, a mini arcade, and a computer lab. Absolutely no pets are allowed in any PassProgram apartment.

Each apartment is designed to house 4 students; however, our 8 week course students have first precedent over all students. All other student requests to live in the PASS Center will be considered in the form of a waiting list. The apartments are 4BR 2B units , where 2 students share a bathroom within the apartment, thus, the  difference in housing cost. The convenience of having 24 hour access, high-speed Wi-Fi access, and the ability to take an elevator down to class makes the PASS Center Housing a hot commodity! The housing cost is $650 per four-week session. PASS Center residents also receive access to 88 West gym/clubhouse facilities.

All of the apartments are fully furnished and equipped with internet access in each bedroom through the use of ethernet cords(not provided). Each bedroom is provided with a full size bed, clean comforter, new sheets/pillow cases, shower curtain, desk, study lamp, and small trashcan. The apartment includes a full kitchen equipped with a dishwasher, pots/pans, silverware, microwave,  and glasses. Also, apartments are equipped with a washer and dryer and public telephone (local calls only; calling card will be needed for making long distance calls).

A student may extend his or her stay by going to the PASS Program business office, during office hours, and paying for the additional time. When checking out or vacating our apartments, it is the sole responsibility of the student to make sure their keys/keycards are turned in by the check-out deadline. Otherwise, if a student stays in the apartment beyond the 10AM deadline, or keys/keycards are not turned in on time, he or she will forfeit their entire security deposit.

Housing assignments will be randomly done, unless the students request each other on their applications. Check-in is now between 1:00 and 5:00pm at the housing complex clubhouse, on the Sunday afternoon prior to the first lecture. This change is to accommodate the limited flight schedule into Champaign; however, we will not wait any longer than 5pm, no exceptions. Upon arrival, you will receive your  housing assignment and your keys. Arrangements can no longer be made past 4pm on check-in day; however, if you have a friend who is an enrolled PASS student also arriving that day, you may arrange, with our approval, for the individual to obtain your keys prior to your arrival. However, we are not responsible for loss of any keys picked up or any transportation delays.

Please add $100.00 refundable security deposit to your housing cost. Security deposits will be mailed back to each student a month after they vacate program housing, assuming keys are returned on time and the condition of the apartment is satisfactory during inspection following their departure.

Parking

At the new PASS Center, there is plenty of parking available. Parking at the housing complex is also free and in abundance.
