A Concept-Based Approach to COMLEX Review
At the PASS Program we don't just compress and review information you have received in your osteopathic training. We believe that students must first master basic science concepts and content to succeed with clinical application, both on the COMLEX and in practice. We show students how to take core medical science concepts and apply them to various problems, no matter how complex. The concepts and content do not change, only the complexity of application does.
Osteopathic students attend the same 4-week lectures as our allopathic students because mastering the basic science content is crucial, regardless of the exam you are preparing for. Once our D.O. students have mastered these concepts we teach them to apply this knowledge to Osteopathic Principles and Practice (OPP).
The PASS Program's focus on helping students master core medical science concepts and content allows for more efficient organization and absorption of information as well as application of the information to all levels of the COMPLEX boards.
PASS Program's Unparalleled One-On-One Tutoring and Support
All students in the PASS program receive one-on-one tutoring by M.D.s that have been through the program. Students in the 4 week program receive 2 individual tutoring sessions per week. In the 8 week program students receive 4 sessions during the first half of the program and 5 sessions during the second half.
The focus of individual tutoring sessions is determined by the individual student needs and may include:
- Reviewing COMSAE self evaluation results
- Establishing a study plan
- Addressing questions from lectures
- Question banks
- Drilling
A Personal and Immersive COMLEX Review Environment
The Pass program maintains small class sizes so that our expert faculty can easily get to know every student by name and can help identify their particular strengths and challenges. No student is ever left behind in the PASS COMLEX program. We accommodate all learning styles: auditory, visual, and kinesthetic. In lectures you will be free, even encouraged, to interact and ask questions.
In addition we have a small dedicated core faculty headed by the developer and founder of the PASS Program, Dr. Francis Ihejirika. Students will get to know their instructors and work with them throughout the program.
