The Pre-Clinical Program
Prepare for the second year of medical school
This is a wonderful new program that we have created to help students who are between their first and second years. What we want to do for students is to help them understand how the basic medical sciences will translate into pathophysiology, clinical thinking, clinical integration, and patient management. These are most of the things that are to be taught in the second year curriculum of medical school.
Any student can participate
This program is offered in the months of June, July, and August of each summer. This allows any medical student to invest only four weeks of their summer to help make their second year of medical school smoother, more organized, less stressful and yes, more enjoyable. These words describe the experiences of many students who have already attended this program in the past.
What we cover
During the four weeks of the program, we first review the basic medical sciences. Moreover, we show students how to clinically integrate these basic medical sciences. In fact, we show students "how" to figure out for themselves what would be the signs and symptoms of a disease, the complications of the disease, the cause of death, and the drugs of choice for that disease as well as the management of that illness. Therefore, imagine starting the second year of medical school with a clearer understanding of what clinical thinking really is.
Enhance your test taking abilities
As part of the program, we will also teach each student excellent test taking skills. Therefore, your test taking skills will significantly improve, making taking a test a less stressful situation. It also cuts down significantly on your preparation time for an exam. Participating in this program will make the rest of your medical school experience much more enjoyable.
Unmatched one-on-one instruction thats affordable
We have also made the program much more reasonably priced, with a very low price of only $3,000 per person. This includes the cost of the 4-week course as well as housing. As part of the program, students can participate in drills that are offered daily. Each student will get personalized one-on-one tutoring sessions twice weekly. And, each student is allowed to participate in drills that are conducted during class time and are offered after classes each day.
The PASS Program edge
Imagine beginning the first day of your second year in medical school, feeling completely prepared. Because we will have reviewed your basic sciences and improved your clinical understanding of this information, and we will have given you a clearer understanding of pathophysiology and clinical integration, your enthusiasm will last much longer, hopefully a lifetime. We are looking forward to seeing you there.
