Administrative Assistant Job Description

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Reports to: Human Resource Manager
Department: Administration
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for supporting various business areas and needs. Duties include but are not limited to: CRM data entry, some bookkeeping tasks, typing, filing, reception and telephone duties. The administrative assistant will also be responsible for providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Assist staff with administrative duties as requested.
  • Assist with creating customer invoices, accounts payable and receivable, and generating financial reports.
  • Cooperate in the maintenance and/or modification of CRM system as needed.
  • Assist with completion of necessary reports as requested.
  • Type and word process documents as needed.
  • Facilitate special event registration and execution.
  • Assume receptionist duties, greet public and refer them to appropriate staff members, answer phone, route calls, and take messages on an as needed basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in business, bookkeeping or other related fields with a minimum 2 years’ experience or 4 years of comparable office experience.
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team.
  • Typing skills with at least 50 WPM.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • QuickBooks or other accounting software experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of general office machines and telephone system.
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.

Medical Education Instructor Job Description

Job Title: Medical Education Instructor
Reports to: Director
Department: Education
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

This is a full-time, salaried position. The Medical Education Instructor, in collaboration with the Director and other teaching staff is responsible for weekly lectures. We seek a candidate who is passionate about medical education and who enjoys interacting with students. The faculty member will have demonstrated skills in teaching, supervising and evaluating medical students. This position will participate fully in the teaching and development of program curriculum.

  • Monitoring progress/attendance
  • Advising students
  • Recording grades and submitting reports

Desired Skills & Experience

Qualifications:
  • M.D. or D.O. from an accredited university
  • Must have successfully passed all USMLE or COMLEX exams

Tutor Job Description

Job Title: PASS Tutor
Reports to: Program Director
Department: Education
FLSA Status: Exempt

General Responsibilities:

Under the supervision of the Program Director and the Tutor Coordinator, plans and facilitates collaborative tutoring sessions for medical students preparing for their licensing boards. PASS Program has tutoring available Mon-Friday, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All tutoring is done on site.

Major Duties:

  • Attends mandatory tutor training orientation.
  • Plans and facilitates tutoring sessions utilizing PASS methods.
  • Assists students in the development of appropriate study skills and schedule.
  • Maintains consistent communication with supervisory staff.
  • Models appropriate academic and professional attitudes and behaviors to staff, faculty and students.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to work with medical students of diverse ethnic backgrounds. Possess good interpersonal and organizational skills. Possess characteristics of responsibility, desire to help others, discretion and flexibility. Knowledge of basic medical sciences and the ability to demonstrate the successful application of various skills. Ability to work independently applying critical thinking skills and problem solving to various situations.

Qualifications:

  • Currently we are seeking former PASS Program students who have passed USMLE Step 1 or the COMLEX exam and who can commit to at least six months of tutoring with the program.
  • Candidates who have passed their USMLE Step 2 or beyond are highly sought.
  • M.D. candidate
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience is preferred.

Salary:

Minimum wage is paid through the 3-5 day orientation period. Regular pay starts at $15/hr. Full-time tutoring staff will be eligible for up to $20/hr. rate increase, medical/dental benefits, and 401K after probationary period.
